  • On December 12, 2022, Hunt Elementary held its annual Spelling Bee. 47 students in grades 2-5 competed for the title. At the end of six rounds, Evelyn Patten and Christopher Geber were named Co-Champions. They will advance to the DeWitt County Spelling Bee in February. Emma Nething placed third, and will be the alternate. Hunt Elementary is proud of all of these amazing students for their hard work!

  • Hunt Elementary hosted the 2022-2023 Watch DOGS Kick-Off on Monday, September 26 in conjunction with Magical Monday. Watch DOGS stands for "Dads of Great Students." We had a tremendous turn-out! Thank you to all who are willing to serve as a positive role model for our Young Gobblers and for being present in the lives of our children! A special Thank You to Haynes Searcy for speaking and sharing his story, to our local Domino's Pizza for donating the delicious pizzas and to Cuero Wal-Mart for donating the drinks and ice for this event. If interested in serving as a Watch "DOG," please contact James McCarter at Hunt Elementary (361) 275-1900 X 5.
