    Membership Application Information

    Every spring semester, the advising sponsors for Cuero High School's chapter extend invitations to prospective student members from the Sophomore class (and qualifying, but not as of yet club members, from the Junior class) for application, acceptance, and induction into the National Honor Society. Applications are usually due the week(s) after Spring Break in March.

    Selection of Members

     

    Candidates must have been in attendance at Cuero High School, the equivalent of one semester.  Candidates must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 92.0 effective the end of the 1st semester.  Candidates must demonstrate service to school and community, active leadership, and exemplary character.  Candidates must also be in good standing with Cuero High School. The selection of each member to the Cuero High School Chapter of the National Honor Society shall be made by a majority vote of the faculty council.  

     

    *Cumulative GPA will be checked again at the beginning of the Fall semester next school year to verify member is still in good standing and is eligible for induction, and additionally to extend selection of potential applicants who have achieved the requisite grade point average since the spring semester or those who have transferred in district from out of CISD.
