Caps & Gowns/Decorating the mortar board

Caps and gowns arrive from Balfour on Thursday, April 20, 2023 and may be picked up during lunch that day in the cafeteria. Orders that are not picked up that day, may be picked up in the front office beginning Friday, April 21, 2023 during passing periods or lunch. Please contact Mrs. Parma at 361-275-1900 X 2 after initial distribution for more details including cash pricing and availability of extras, if your student forgot to order.
Caps may be decorated as long as the decorations are modest and in good taste, with no décor that is raised over 1/4” high off the cap, or that hangs off of the mortar board itself (outside the edges). Designs are due to Mrs. Parma no later than Friday, May 12, 2023. They may be emailed to rparma@cueroisd.org or printed and dropped off in the principal’s office. A second review of caps will take place at graduation practice by Mrs. Fleener and her APs, on the morning of May 25, 2023, and if the cap is not in compliance, a plain cap will be provided to replace the unapproved one.
