We also ask that you give three individuals the Cuero ISD personal reference form, have them complete the form, and send it to the address above (may also be completed online).

All substitutes must attend training sessions. If not pre-registration, New applicants need to bring a copy of their social security card, driver's license, and transcript or diploma to the training as well. Applicants that have not completed an application may do so on the link above.
This training consists of:
- Substitute Handbook: Rules, Regulations, & Policies
- Safety and Security Training
- Stop the Bleed
- Youth Mental Health First Aid Training- to be done at a later date
Previous substitutes/ returning substitutes must attend the training annually.
The Cuero ISD will hold substitute training on October 20, 2025
at 8:30 a.m. to 12p.m. at the Cuero Administration Office Boardroom located at 960 East Broadway, Cuero. The training is designed to provide individuals with
follow up and updated information necessary for success while substituting
in the district.

Substitute Pay: Per Full Day- $85 Non-Degreed $95 Bachelor's Degree $105 Certified Teacher
