For Grades 8 - 12 for the 2021-2022 School Year
Cuero ISD is excited to equip each Gobbler in grades 8-12 with a Chromebook for educational purposes for the 2021-22 school year. Access to a chromebook at school and at home will allow greater accessibility while engaging and empowering student learning.
A Chromebook is a laptop that runs ChromeOS, and operating system developed and maintained by Google that is essentially just the Chrome web browser. Students can utilize Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides and more.
Chromebook check out will take place at the Cuero ISD Technology Dept building located between the tennis courts and the bus barn at 405 Park Heights Drive from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. on the following dates..
July 26: grades 8 and 9
July 27: grades 10 and 11
July 30: grade 12 and makeup
And Makeup days from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on the following dates:
Aug. 9 and 10
In order to checkout a Chromebook, the device agreement form must be signed by both the parent/guardian and the student. The form can be printed from the school website under the Student tab - one form per student. Forms can also be picked up at the Technology Department building beginning July 12, 2021. Forms will also be available on the Check Out days.
Cuero ISD will also offer an optional annual device insurance program to provide parents the peace of mind of knowing they will not be burdened with large out of pocket expenses for non-covered repairs, replacement or loss. See the Device Agreement form for the specifics of the insurance program. The annual, non-refundable fee is $20. An Income form is available if the parent/guardian feels this fee would be an economic hardship. The form can be printed from the school website under the Digital Resources tab.
