Hunt Elementary Safety Procedures


test Listed are some of the safety procedures at Hunt Elementary. These procedures are in place to ensure the safety of all our students. Your cooperation in these procedures is key to assuring the safety and security of all students. Thank you for your support!

Car Rider Pick-up:

  • Student’s school supplied car tag must be displayed on the dash, name side up
  • If parking and picking up a student, use the crosswalk and hand carry the student’s car tag
  • If student’s car tag has been lost, please park and visit the office to obtain a new one
  • Without a valid school supplied car tag students will not be released, no exceptions


  • All visitors, including parents, must check in through the front office
  • A new remote locking/unlocking system (to be installed) will require visitors to be “buzzed” into the office
  • A valid government issued photo ID may be required if moving beyond the office are

Eating Lunch with Student(s):

  • Immediate family members eating lunch with their student must check in as a visitor
  • A valid government issued photo ID will be required to obtain a pass
  • You and your student will be seated at a table designated for that purpose
  • To have another student join with you and your student, you must have a signed note from that student’s parent or guardian

Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students):

  • WatchDOGS are fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other adult males volunteering as positive role models
  • The WatchDOGS also provide an extra set of eyes and ears that afford added security for our students and campus
  • The individual WatchDOGS have been approved by the school and are paired with an educator for the day
  • If you or someone you know would like to participate in the WatchDOGS program please have them contact Hunt Elementary School
