Have your child study spelling list, sight words, math facts, vocabulary, and phonics chunks nightly.

AR (Accelerated Reader) PROGRAM
Students read selected books that have a point value. Then the students take a computerized quiz on the book. Each grading period students have a set point goal and goal average to reach. When the point goal AND average are reached then the student may visit the Hunt Elementary AR store for various prizes that are "bought" with points.

Parents you may view your student's reading progress toward their goals by accessing Renaissance Home Connect. Information was received at first six weeks parent teacher conference. If you need more information contact your child's teacher.

HOW TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD REACH THEIR AR GOALS: encourage them to read their selected library books multiple times (at least 3). Ask your child questions about what they read. Ask them to tell you the story.
