GOALS
  • To develop an in-depth understanding of the TEKS.
  • To develop basic instructional strategies related to TEKS.
  • To provide a means for linking TEKS across the core curriculum areas.

IMPLEMENTATION
  • Step 1
  • Refine & rewrite the TEKS by looking at each statement of student expectation and identifying all components within it.

  • Step 2
  • Designate each component of the TEKS student expectation as knowledge, skill, or concept.  This is a condensation of Bloom’s Taxonomy.  The focus is on explicit knowledge and skills, and implied concepts.
