We would like to invite you to our football championship ring ceremony next Wednesday, April 24, at the Cuero HS Performing Arts Center. From 5:30-6:00, our players will be available in the foyer area to sign autographs for anyone wanting them. Our booster club will provide posters free of charge with our team picture and other pictures on them for people to have signed. At 6:00 pm, we will begin our ring ceremony with our band, cheerleaders and trotters taking part in the ceremony. Representatives from Texas Football Magazine will be making a presentation to a couple of our players who were named to the Whataburger Super Team at the end of the season. We will also have a video tribute highlighting the season and championship victory, and then we will present our players their rings. At the conclusion of the ceremony, there will be opportunity to take pictures with friends and family with their new hardware. Rings and pendants purchased by those who are not varsity football players will be available for pickup at the conclusion of the ceremony so that everyone who purchased something can have their hardware for pictures. Also, our booster club will have state championship merchandise available for purchase both before and after the ceremony. We look forward to an exciting evening where we will celebrate our 2018 State Championship Fightin’ Gobbler Football Team!! Hope to see you there!

Loren Washington, CHS sophomore, is in her second year of running varsity track. Loren scored 25 points for her team at the district track meet: running on the 4x100m Relay, the 200, and the 4x400m Relay. Along with running, Loren has recently picked up high jump. The district meet was only the 2nd time she has high jumped and Loren took home the silver medal, clearing 4’10”. Loren keeps the entire team laughing and smiling every day! She is such a joy to be around and brings high energy to practice and to the meets. Loren, thank you for your continued hard work, dancing, and leadership! So proud of you! Congratulations, Loren!

The Neff representative will be here for Spring letter jacket fittings on April 25th in the Multi-purpose Room at the Field House. He will be available during the lunch break and immediately after school. All qualifying students can get their packets from their sponsors.

Due to English 1 STAAR Testing, we have cancelled today’s JV White game vs St. Joe and tomorrow’s JV Green game vs Cornerstone. We are in the process of trying to reschedule the St. Joe game, but the Cornerstone game will not be made up. The Cuero Varsity will be playing tomorrow at S.A. Cornerstone at 6 PM.
