STUDENT ATHLETE OF WEEK:

John Rodriguez is a senior member of the Gobbler football team, and has been a starter on offense and defense for the last two years.  John leads a defense in tackles that only gave up 24 total points in district play.  He also plays an important role at fullback on offense in helping pave the way for the running backs to rush for an average of 269 yards per game.  More importantly, John serves as one of our captains, and has provided excellent leadership to our team both on and off the field.  Congratulations to John Rodriguez!

Cuero ISD Health Services: Flu Season is Here!

Flu is a serious contagious disease that can lead to hospitalization and even death. YOU  have the power to protect yourself and your family this season with these three actions to fight flu.

  • Get a flu vaccine. Everyone 6 months of age and older should get a flu vaccine by the end of October, if possible. A yearly flu vaccine is the first and most important step in protecting against the flu. As long flu viruses are circulating, it is not too late to get vaccinated!
  • Take everyday actions to stop the spread of germs. Wash your hands often with soap and water, cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, and wash your hands often with soap and water. If you become sick, limit your contact with others to keep from infecting them.
  • Take flu antiviral drugs if your doctor prescribes them. If you get the flu, medicine, called antiviral drugs, can be used to treat flu illness. Antiviral drugs can make illness milder and shorten the time you are sick. They may also prevent serious flu complications.

Football pre-sale tickets are made available for purchase on Tuesday mornings 10am through Friday mornings 10am on all campuses and at Administration. High School has an extended selling time until noon on Fridays. Adults $5, Students $3 for all home games. Prices may vary for out of town games.
