Reading is Fundamental at Hunt Elementary

CHS Seniors Chant Parker, Haley VanSlooten, and Jasmine Mathis read to Hunt Elementary third grade students at the Reading is (Fun)damental Book distribution today (Friday, October 24th). Each Hunt Elementary student was given a book of their choice to help encourage strong reading habits.  A big "Thank-you" to the Cuero Rotary Club for their generous donation of books for our students.


CIS BOOK FAIR

                          

We invite you to visit our fall book fair November 3-7th at Cuero Intermediate School library . Our students will be surrounded with 100's of fun, engaging, affordable books for them to discover. Hope to see you there!

HAUNTED TRAILER !!!!!!!

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2014

Will be held at Gobbler Stadium this coming Friday night.  It will begin at 6:45 and will continue to the 3rd quarter.  FCCLA & Principles of Hospitality will be hosting. Admission will be 1 can of food or $1.  ALL food and money collected will be donated to our local food bank.


ATHLETE OF THE WEEK:

Jacob Stock, CHS Senior, plays linebacker and fullback for the Cuero Gobblers.  Jacob is one of the leaders and leading tacklers of the Gobbler defense.  He also plays fullback on offense and has had several carries and receptions this year in key moments of games.  Jacob's work ethic, toughness, and leadership have made a significant contribution to the Gobbler football team's success this year.  Jacob is also an excellent student and role model in the classroom.  For these reasons, Jacob Stock is our Athlete of the Week.


Caught Being Good at CIS

Desiree Williams and Aubani Cormier got caught being good at Cuero Intermediate School! They won gift ceritficates from Subway and Cenemark Mark12 Theater. 

                                  


Grant Reminder Education Foundation

The Cuero ISD Education Foundation 2014 grant applications are now being accepted.  Please remember that the grant request deadline is Friday, December 19th, 12:00 noon.  All applications need to be submitted to Bill Hamilton's office.  Please feel free to contact Bill at extention 242 or 361-275-1904 if you have any questions.  Just click on the above to get the process started !


Cuero Gobbler of the Week

GOBBLER OF THE WEEK

This week's Gobbler of the week is Freshman Lillianna Gonzalez.  Lillianna is a member of the Cuero Library Committee and is on the A/B honor roll.  Her smile and willingness to help makes others realize that "It is a great day to be a Gobbler !"  Thanks for the positive attitude Lillianna Gonzalez, Gobbler of the Week !


CIS Home Room Challenge

Cuero Intermediate School students competed in their first homeroom challenge of the 2014-2015 school year!  926 canned good items were donated by students in grades 4th, 5th, and 6th with two homerooms tying to win the challenge!  Students in Mrs. Patek’s and Mrs. Arroyo’s class donated 100 items in each class!  All food items will be donated to assist families in our community.  Future homeroom challenges will also be community serviced based to promote a sense of pride and connection to our home town.

Seniors will retake photos on November 12.  Come dress to impress!!!!

Strong Roots For A Successful Future
Let us treat you to a special event! Parents and family members are invited to join us at the Victoria Community Center on October 29th. Enjoy the morning with Inspirational Speaker, Dr. John W. Hodge, as he presents how students in high poverty areas can have a successful future.

FREE catered lunch provided. FREE transportation available. Tour the exhibit hall filled with booths, community resources, and give-aways. Gobbler Football Pre-Sale Tickets - Reserved / General

Football Ticket Prices:

Presale - $5.00 – adults, $3.00 students
At the Gate – All general admission tickets $5.00

 
Reserved Bench Seating:

We will sell reserved bench seating tickets in a single booth at the front entrance of the stadium. Ticket prices are $6.00. We recommend that you buy these in advance at the CISD Admin office to avoid a possible long line at the game for the reserved bench seating. If you want to purchase reserved bench seats for the entire season, they must be purchased at the Admin office only.

When can you buy pre-sale tickets?
Pre-sale tickets are sold each week at each campus and the Admin office from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday morning to 10:00 am Friday morning. The high school campus will sell tickets until noon on Fridays.
