Our teachers remind me of the Energizer Bunny… they keep going and going and going! Whether it means arriving early to prepare for the day, or skipping lunch so they can make copies or tutor a student, or even when they stay until “dark-thirty” to sponsor a club, grade papers, conduct parent ...

Fox Sports Southwest will broadcast tonight's game against Yoakum throughout the evening. To see all the game footage and the halftime NFL presentation to former Gobbler greats Alois Blackwell and Arthur Whittington, fans are encouraged to record FSSW High School Scoreboard Live at 12:00 am.

To celebrate its 50th anniversary, the NFL is honoring players on Superbowl teams, as well as the high schools from which they graduated, with Wilson Golden Footballs. This honor recognizes the value of high school sports and the relationships that are forged between athletes and their coaches. Tomorrow night at our district opener against Yoakum, two former Gobblers will be recognized at halftime. We are excited to welcome back Alois Blackwell (’70) and Arthur Whittington (’73) to Gobbler Stadium as they present their golden footballs to Cuero High School. As an added bonus, former Cuero coach Buster Gilbreth will be on hand to celebrate the honor with his former athletes.

Game time is 7:30 pm. GO MEAN GREEN!
