STUDENT ATHLETE OF THE WEEK:

Jordan Whittington, a CHS Junior, is an outstanding asset to the Cuero Gobbler football team. In last week’s season opening game vs Yoakum, the Cuero Gobblers beat the Bulldogs 41-13. Jordan Whittington had an exceptional game for the Gobblers, as he scored 5 TD’s for the game. Jordan had 14 carries for 148 yards and 4 TD’s and had 5 receptions for 105 yards and 1 TD. Jordan was also one of eleven on defense that held Yoakum to one touchdown and 176 yards of total offense for the night. Congratulations to the Cuero Gobblers and to Jordan Whittington for being selected this week’s Athlete of the Week!
