Weather Update

Dear Gobbler Parents,

Cuero ISD will release at regular time today. Currently, all roads in Cuero ISD are clear. Buses will run regular schedule. If you are concerned about worsening weather conditions at the north end of DeWitt County, you may pick up your child at any time. If we decide to delay the start of school on Wednesday, Jan. 17, we will post on facebook, the school website and send out a robocall this evening.

Due to the inclement weather, there will be no early morning 7th gr. boys/girls basketball practice on Wed. 1/17. Please report to the locker room at the beginning of school.

Ibree Coe is a Freshman guard for the Lady Gobbler Basketball Team. She recently helped her team start their District Race with a victory over the Poteet Lady Aggies. Ibree’s contribution of 4 assists, 4 steals, and 11 points helped the Lady Gobblers gain the victory. Not only does Ibree work hard on the basketball court, she also sets high standards in the classroom, making excellent grades. Congratulations Ibree and keep up the good work!!

Update for Tuesday

Cuero ISD is open and we will open buildings early for students who get dropped off.  We were out driving at 5 am roads and bridges were clear.  We have been in contact with TxDOT, DPS and national weather service.  If we delay tomorrow you will be notified via robocall, Facebook and the Cuero ISD website.

Flu Info Packet for Parents
Flu Info

We are starting the new year with a bang! Flu numbers have peaked during our time off for Christmas break. Learn ways to protect yourself and your family from the flu virus.

Five simple steps you can take to reduce your chances of getting — or spreading — the flu:

1.Get vaccinated. It is not too late to get a flu shot.

2.Wash hands frequently.

3.Cover coughs and sneezes.

4.Stay home if you’re sick. Each child needs to be fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medicine.

5.Convince those around you to follow steps 1 - 4.

Watch our web page for flu info and resources.
